Case Study
The Situation
A seed-stage SaaS startup lost its only technical co-founder overnight. No one remained who owned architecture decisions, tooling, or infrastructure, and the team was starting to scale without any documented process — putting delivery at real risk of stalling.
What I Did
I stepped in as embedded Fractional CTO. I standardized their SDLC into a repeatable process and rolled out core tooling, including JIRA and the Scrum Agile methodology, so it could actually be followed. I made deliberate architecture decisions instead of letting them happen by default, and set up and audited their AWS infrastructure directly, not just at an advisory level. I sourced and managed a vetted contractor team to keep delivery moving, and gave ongoing technical direction to the founder and product owner so the business and the build stayed in sync.
The Outcome
Within 90 days, SDLC, tooling, and AWS infrastructure were standardized under a documented process, and a vetted contractor team was delivering against the roadmap — cutting release cycle time from weeks to days.
